1. Agreement and authority
These Terms of Service apply when a school, its authorised representative, or an approved user accesses EduCore. By applying for, purchasing, or using the service, you confirm that you have authority to act for the relevant school and agree to these terms.
2. The service
EduCore is a school-management platform for administrative, academic, finance, human-resources, payroll, reporting, and portal workflows. The features available to a school depend on its plan, configuration, and any agreed implementation scope.
EduCore supports school operations but does not replace the professional judgement, approval, safeguarding duties, accounting controls, or legal responsibilities of the school.
3. Accounts and access
Schools are responsible for identifying authorised users, assigning suitable roles, keeping account details accurate, and removing access when it is no longer needed. Users must keep their credentials confidential and must not share an account.
The school must notify EduCore promptly if it reasonably suspects unauthorised access, compromised credentials, or misuse of the service.
4. School data and responsibilities
The school retains its rights in the records and content it submits to EduCore. The school is responsible for having an appropriate legal basis and authority to collect, use, and instruct EduCore to process that data.
EduCore will process school data to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service, and as otherwise agreed with the school or required by law. Our handling of personal data is described further in the Privacy Policy.
Available exports may differ by plan and module. Requests for data return or deletion are subject to technical feasibility, legal retention duties, and the applicable agreement.
5. Plans, trials, and payment
Plan limits, current prices, and included features are shown on the Pricing page or in a written quote. Freemium has no subscription fee and remains subject to its published limits. Where offered, the Starter and Professional trial lasts 14 days from approved provisioning.
Paid fees are due according to the selected billing cycle and the invoice or checkout terms. A plan change, renewal, cancellation, discount, refund, or tax treatment is governed by the commercial terms presented to the school at the time.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use EduCore to:
- break applicable law or another person's rights;
- access another user's or school's records without authority;
- upload malicious code or interfere with the service;
- bypass access controls, usage limits, or security measures;
- submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful; or
- probe or test the service without written permission.
7. Availability and changes
EduCore may perform maintenance, correct defects, change features, or temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or operation of the service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability unless a signed agreement expressly provides a service level.
Schools should maintain appropriate internal controls and contingency procedures for time-sensitive operations.
8. Intellectual property
EduCore and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, software, branding, documentation, and service improvements. These terms grant only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the school's internal operations during an active plan.
Feedback may be used to improve EduCore without identifying the person or school that supplied it, unless otherwise agreed.
9. Suspension and termination
EduCore may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful use, material breach, overdue payment, or risk to the service or other users. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
On termination, access ends and school data will be handled under the applicable agreement, Privacy Policy, and legal retention obligations.
10. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by Ghanaian law, the service is provided without warranties that are not expressly stated in a signed agreement. Neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any specific liability cap should be stated in the school's signed commercial agreement.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The parties should first try in good faith to resolve a dispute through direct discussion before starting formal proceedings.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the service, by email, or on this page as appropriate. The effective date above will show when this version took effect.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@educoregh.com.
